Dear friends and family,
I am Cain Westley Kulwicki, and this year I will be participating in a summer mission’s outreach this summer through Child Evangelism Fellowship. In order to prepare, I will be attending Christian Youth In Action (CYIA). CYIA is a training program put on for teenagers who, like me, are volunteering with CEF. For this training I will spend a week at Indiana Wesleyan University learning how to teach Bible lessons, memory verses, and how to counsel children for salvation.
As for the reason I would like to do this, I have been called by God to be a pastor, and I think this would be a good opportunity to receive training to pursue that calling. In addition to this, I also believe that this would be a good way for me to live out the salvation I have in Jesus Christ. Philipians 1:21 says, “For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Because of this verse, I believe that I am not truly living unless I am living out Christ, and this would be an excellent opportunity for me to do just that.
In this training I will be taught how to be an evangelist to children, a skill that I think could prove useful as a pastor. I will also get to help teach at 5-day clubs, which is Vacation Bible schools on the road. I will also be sharing the gospel at county fairs here in Indiana, an experience which could help me get used to teaching God’s word.
However, to be able to participate in this training I will have to raise financial support to the best of my ability. I would like to ask if you would be willing to help support me financially, as well as in prayers, to help cover my missionary expenses for this summer.
