To my friends and family

My name is Connor Keehn. I have been invited to participate in a summer mission’s outreach this summer through Child Evangelism Fellowship. To participate, I will be attending Christian Youth in Action (CYIA). Christian Youth in Action is a training program for teens.

This will be my first time at CYIA, and I really want to know what it is like. My family and I are asking God what He wants us to do for Him because in Matthew 22:37 it says, “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “love your neighbor as yourself.” I can do both by serving with Child Evangelism Fellowship and participating in CYIA. I think it will be fun.

My sister’s friend found out about CYIA and told her. Then my sister told my parents, and my parents told me. My sister and I want to go. I don’t play any sports, so I think doing CYIA this summer will be cool.

When I go to CYIA, I will learn how to evangelize to kids. It will cost money for me to go to the training and to buy food, gas, teaching material, and other missionary expenses over the summer. I am asking you to help me participate in fundraising for CYIA.

Would you prayefully support our Summer Missions' Outreach! Every year our chapter conducts a summer missions' outreach here in North Central Indiana. Our mission is to reach the lost children in our Jerusalem and Samaria as commanded by the Lord Jesus. The summer begins with Christian Youth in Action^® (CYIA™). CYIA is a specialized one week training for teens and young adults. Those who attend will learn how to teach Bible lessons, Missionary lessons, memory verses, prayer time, and more. The training will equip our summer missionaries on how to lead a productive 5-Day Club^® ministry.

After training, the teens will come back to our local chapter and work in 5-Day Clubs to share God's Love to the children. A 5-Day Club is an exciting 1.5 to 2 hour club that meets consecutively for 5 days. The club components include: dynamic Bible lessons, real life Missionary stories, life-changing scripture memorization, relationship building activities, interactive games, God centered prayer time, and worship songs.

The summer missionaries will also work alongside us in the county fairs to share the Gospel message to the fair visitors.

This is an exciting program that helps to equip teens to share their faith and gives them opportunities throughout the summer to do so. Many of our teens begin at the age of 12 and continue with us until they go into college. We ask that you prayerfully support this work to help us reach the children of North Central Indiana and to help equip the next generation to be the hands and feet of Christ until He returns.
