To my family and friends,

9 years ago, I was sitting in my bedroom watching T.V. when my mom told me we were having people over to our house. I remember her saying, “There are two girls about your age that are coming here to talk about Christian Youth in Action (CYIA). Are you sure you don’t want to do it this year?” I promptly said, “no” and went to my room. After some time passed, I knew I would have to come out of hiding if I wanted food. I came out of my room with my messy bun and frumpy clothes dreading to be introduced to new people that were about to dedicate their summers to the Lord.  I met two lovely girls, one of which is my best friend now, grabbed a snack, and hurried back into my room. It made me really think about what I was doing with my life. I was 12 years old and felt like I had done nothing for the Savior that had done so much for me. A few days later, the day before the CYIA cut off to be precise, I went to my mom and said, “okay fine sign me up.” Little did I know how much God would use this ministry to shape the rest of my teen and early adult life.

My name is Kailiana King. I am 20 years old and have been serving with CEF for the past 9 years. Every year working in this ministry has been a new adventure that has encouraged growth in me, and those around me. I started off as a missionary assistant teaching the missionary story. Then, at 14 years old, I became a summer missionary teaching the big bible lessons such as Zaccheus, Saul, and the Ethiopian treasurer. I then became the missionary I admired the most, the Advanced Summer Missionary. This is where I stood in front of all the younger missionaries and older staff members every day at CYIA and gave demonstrations of the daily 5-Day Club lessons in front of all of them all. After that year, I felt like my training at CYIA was done. It felt like there wasn’t much left for me especially since I was headed to college. Well, we all know God works in mysterious ways because I would always joke that I would make an awesome dean of women. Some months had passed, and February of 2023 was rolling around and I was still looking for a job. I get a message from my mom saying that they were looking for a dean of women at CYIA and asked if I wanted to candidate for the position. I quickly said yes and a few days later got an interview set up. Short story long, for the past two summers I was the Dean of Women at CYIA. All of this has led me to where I am today. I have accepted the position as the Ministry Coordinator for North Central Indiana.

In the book of Isaiah, we get a glimpse of God asking his council who will go and spread the Gospel for them. Isaiah 6:8 says, “here am I; send me”. I know God wants to use me to spread the Gospel specifically to children and through the ministry outreaches of Child Evangelism Fellowship and he wants to use you too.

Child Evangelism Fellowship is growing more and more each year and to continue to reach children, we must come together and support the work that is taking place in our community. Whether that be through volunteering, praying, or financially giving, we all have a role. God has shown me that my role is to be His hands and feet. I ask that you prayerfully consider becoming an extension of that role by becoming a personal partner of mine. I need your support.

1.      In prayers:

Will you commit to pray for me to be faithful in the ministry God has called me to, to have the strength and endurance needed, and to gain knowledge and understanding of the position I have been called to?

2.      In financial giving:

As a local missionary, I am tasked with raising 75% of my support. I am currently receiving $30,000 as my annual salary. Would you prayerfully consider supporting me and helping me to reach my goal of $22,500.00 in missionary support.

I would be happy to sit and speak with you more about this partnership and the ministry of CEF.

If you feel led to become a partner today, you can do so by:
