Dear friends and family,

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey of mine as I have served with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) for the past 7 years. This update is to share with you my plans this summer to serve with CEF for an 8th year.

As many of you know for the past 7 years, I have joined CEF in their Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) program. I began as an assistant summer missionary, then moved up to summer missionary, then became an advanced missionary, and last year was our chapter's summer coordinator. This year I have been given another amazing opportunity. I have been blessed to be chosen for the the leadership role as the Dean of Women at CYIA. What this means is I, and the Assistant Dean of Women, will oversee all things teen girl related at CYIA. For example, we will be the on-site nurse for the girls, praying for them, conducting room checks, and mentoring them. I will be able to feed into their lives the way the past Deans of Women have fed into my life. My prayer is to help them to grow in their walk with the Lord and to help them to grow into future leaders of the church. 

This is a big responsibility but something I have prayed about for a long time. I am very excited to meet all the girls and enjoy all things CYIA. On top of being dean of women, I have been asked to be a summer coordinator for our chapter this year and possibly be a traveling missionary for the state. The details are being worked out for these opportunities right now.

One other possible plan I would like to ask you to pray for me is this. I have an opportunity to become an intern this fall at our Headquarters in Warrenton, MO. This would be an awesome experience and even further my walk with the Lord.  I will be able to work with all the amazing people there who help to keep the national and world-wide ministries of CEF operating. This is a big decision and I ask you to pray with me about this.

Support our Summer Missions' Outreach! Every year our chapter conducts a summer missions' outreach here in North Central Indiana. Our mission is to reach the lost children in our Jerusalem and Samaria as commanded by the Lord Jesus. The summer begins with Christian Youth in Action^® (CYIA™). CYIA is a specialized one week training for teens and young adults. Those who attend will learn how to teach Bible lessons, Missionary lessons, memory verses, prayer time, and more. The training will equip our summer missionaries on how to lead a productive 5-Day Club^® ministry.

After training, the teens will come back to our local chapter and work in 5-Day Clubs to share God's Love to the children. A 5-Day Club is an exciting 1.5 to 2 hour club that meets consecutively for 5 days. The club components include: dynamic Bible lessons, real life Missionary stories, life-changing scripture memorization, relationship building activities, interactive games, God centered prayer time, and worship songs.

The summer missionaries will also work alongside us in the county fairs to share the Gospel message to the fair visitors.

This is an exciting program that helps to equip teens to share their faith and gives them opportunities throughout the summer to do so. Many of our teens begin at the age of 12 and continue with us until they go into college. We ask that you prayerfully support this work to help us reach the children of North Central Indiana and to help equip the next generation to be the hands and feet of Christ until He returns.
