Hello family and friends!

I have been blessed with the opportunity to work again this year with Child Evangelism Fellowship. This year will be my 2nd year as a summer missionary. Last year was my first time serving and it helped me grow in faith, friendships and my overall character.

Before I can take part in this summer missions’ outreach, I will be attending a training called Christian Youth in Action. CYIA is a one week event where you go to Indiana Wesleyan University to learn how to teach exciting Bible lessons, real life missionary stories,  meaningful memory verses, and more. This week was one of my favorites as it helped me grow in my faith a ton. I also made so many friends that I can't wait to see again this year! After that week I will then begin teaching 5-Day Clubs all summer. A 5DC a vacation bible school on the road. Throughout the summer we will be going to trailer courts, parks, campgrounds, and even more locations so that we can share the Gospel.

I specifically remember one club where there was this little boy, who I will call Eli. He would always go back for counseling after the lesson but he never wanted to pray to believe. On the last day of club it was my turn to teach the lesson. I taught about the officials sick son and gave the invitation at the end. He went back with me like he had done all week but this time it was different. There were about 5 kids who came for counseling with me so I began asking them the reason they were there. I get to him and he whispers, “I want to be saved.” So that day I was able to counsel him and helped him be saved. Eli was the first kid I had ever helped lead to the Lord. I was able to bring all that I learned through CEF back to my church's children’s class and teach them the same stories. As a result, I helped 1 child be saved and assured 5 kids of their salvation. CEF has done so much for me and I'm so excited for all the kids I will get to meet this summer and be able to share Jesus’s love with.

Because we are local missionaries, this does cost money. I am asking my friends and family to support me in the work I will be doing with CEF this summer to reach children with the Gospel. Philippians 4:16-17 says, “For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.” Many people are unable to go out and share the gospel like I will be doing this summer, but that does not mean you can’t play an important part in this ministry. Ministry is not possible without the financial and prayer support of people like you. I ask that you prayerfully consider giving in honor of the missions work I will be doing this summer!

We ask you to prayerfully support our Summer Missions' Outreach! 

Every year our chapter conducts a summer missions' outreach here in North Central Indiana. Our mission is to reach the lost children in our Jerusalem and Samaria as commanded by the Lord Jesus. The summer begins with Christian Youth in Action^® (CYIA™). CYIA is a specialized one-week training for teens and young adults. Those who attend learn how to teach Bible lessons, Missionary lessons, scripture memory verses, prayer time, and more. The training equips our summer missionaries on how to lead a productive 5-Day Club^® ministry.

After training, the teens will come back to our local chapter and work in local 5-Day Clubs to share God's Love to the children. A 5-Day Club is an exciting 2-hour club that meets consecutively for 5 days. Club components include: dynamic Bible lessons, real life Missionary stories, life-changing scripture memorization, relationship building activities, interactive games, God centered prayer time, and worship songs.

The summer missionaries will also work alongside us in the county fairs to share the Gospel message to the fair visitors.

This is an exciting program that helps to equip teens to share their faith and gives them opportunities throughout the summer to do so. Many of our teens begin at the age of 12 and continue with us until they go into college. We ask that you prayerfully support this work to help us reach the children of North Central Indiana and to help equip the next generation to be the hands and feet of Christ until He returns.
